REUNITED!!

Allo Allo Allo!

LUMEA!!!! CE MAI FACETI?! Sper ca numai bine. Munca misionara e foarte grea.

Uhhhhh. I know romanian. Translation...eh I'll let you find out that for yourself. Bafta si noroc.

It was a good week nonetheless. Elder Betteridge came here while Elder Durand went with Elder Harvey to Arad (Betteridge and Harvey are Zone leaders). It was a great two days to be back with Elder Betteridge. It seems like just yesterday we were back in Brasov. I can't believe in two transfers he goes home! AH! I'll miss him and his group (Elders Harvey, Wirthlin, Mathis, Suppes, Sullivan, Clonts, and a few others) I love my fellow companions and missionaries. I'll keep in touch hopefully all my life.

Scripture study continues. I am in 3 Nephi, probably my favorite. So sad 1-4 -- I just read today. the gadianton robbers and the end of them...or is it. Giddianhi and Zemnarihah. Helaman was a really great book and I love the story of Nephi where he just says, uhhh, yeah your king is dead, go look and see that he lies in his blood. Then the 5 people go. They fall and faint. Then the people all gather together, they (who were not listening to Nephi) thought the 5 killed the king. Then Nephi says...go to his brother, ask him if he killed his brother (the king) he'll deny it at first and then look at his coat for blood and then he'll admit it. It happens exactly as he says. I like the Nephis of the Book of Mormon. Awesome stories and I have gotten so much out of it. I started reading through and studying Preach My Gospel. I am on Chapter 3 and marking scriptures and trying to implement the principles I learn in my day-to-day work. PMG is the best book and I should read from it more! I love study time. Language study-Cartea Lui Mormon, I have been SLACKING! I am in Alma 60 and have about 200 pages to read, but I'll get it done, by the end of next transfer.

3 Nephi 4:29 May the Lord preserve his people in righteousness and in holiness of heart, that they may cause to be felled to the earth all who shall seek to slay them because of power and secret combinations, even as this man hath been felled to the earth.

Past week: Pretty pretty good. Tough but I am an optimist. How could I not be. I need to be!

Monday: Nothing in the evening. Visited people but not home or couldn't meet, various just kinda investigators, just not really serious and don't want to change religions. Same old same old. It was a tough day but makes me sure appreciate the success and having lessons.

Tuesday: Good district meeting (ELDER ZAVALA only has one more which is tomorrow and today is his last e-mail. I am gonna miss that Elder so much, hopefully we are going on an exchange this week, we'll see though) Talked about contacting ideas, had some peach cobbler that Elder Kopsa made, it was his birthday. Elder Zavala talked about working hard everyday because it truly goes by so fast and I believe it! I can't believe tomorrow the 8th of March will be my sixth month mark! AH! I feel though I am where I would have pictured myself. Language wise. Spiritually wise. Everything wise. I am trying my best. OBEDIENCE. To qualify for the blessings and people that God wants to send to us to accept and hear our message. After District Meeting, English contacting was fun, almost everyone knows English from the younger generation! We went right outside a college and met some really interested people, class starts up again in a couple weeks. Then home for lunch. Then we went to a gypsy family we met a couple weeks ago and hadn't been back since. Had a good lesson - Plan of Salvation. She asked us for money. Needs to take a train to sort out their children birth records and all that. That was a time I wish I could explain myself so much better but I thought I handled it well. Just said we are hear to help you be closer to Christ. If you accept our message, we can't help you but I know God can help you. Something to that extent. I pray for them everyday. They said they were interested in coming to church. Just struggling with life, 3 kids, rent, what can I do? Then we did some villa knocking. Nothing really came from it. Then we went and did some blocs, met awesome family Paul and son Cristian. Haven't met wife yet. Went back on Saturday. They seem curious-Orthodox but said they would read and pray! Then lesson with guy and girlfriend we met in the blocs Razvan. Really awesome and open guy. Doesn't like all the other religions esp. Pentacostal. He said he was coming to church too. but didn't. Meeting with him again tomorrow or tonight.

Wednesday: Well, last night Elder Betteridge and Harvey drove in from Arad (have a car because there is a Senior Couple in Arad who normally use the car) Then that night Elder Durand left with Harvey back to Arad. And me and Elder Betteridge here in Timisoara! It was a good day. Outside of the apartment we only spoke Romanian and I learned a lot of stuff from him and talking to other people. I love learning for some odd reason I can't explain. "The more I learn the more I realize I know nothing." We did street contacting, visited formers and potential investigators. Then lunch. Then less active. And more contacting. Centru. To the church to get bunged. We talked to over 100 people about the gospel and gave out so much stuff and got a lot of phone numbers. Such an awesome day regardless having no lessons and no one meet with us. Had a lot of mini-lessons. Gave out 3 Books of Mormon. Lots of pliant/pamphlets. Oh my gosh. I totally just forgot the word for pamphlet. AH WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME. Anyways, i got my companion and he told me what it means. Thanks Elder Durand! ;) "uh, how do you say pliant in english?"

Thursday: Good day. Morning met with a recent convert. Sora Ungureanu. Good lesson about the temples, mirrors of eternity. (Elder Gong). Baptized last summer in June. Probably about 32 or 33. Then we did some street contacting, gave out two BOMs. Then lunch, then vilas. Then less active, Sora Ana. One who has trouble sleeping and it has been quite a while since she has been to church. :( Then met up with recent convert Adrian and went to Sora Gabi's (one who loves Sora Andersen) and had good meal, pork, sauce, with potatoes and bread really good and a prajitura/baked good/cake type bread. Good lesson about two lines of revelation (Elder Oaks) Then we went home. Elder Betteridge packed up. We went to the gara and Elder Harvey and he caught a train to Bucharest for a zone leader council (end of every month) Then Elder Durand and I caught a bus back. Met young woman, that was listening to our conversation on the bus and wants to meet up to practice her english. Hasn't called us yet...probably won't. It was really weird. People are pretty good at staring on buses and on the streets and a new thing I am trying to do. If I see them staring I am going to talk to them.

Friday: Tough day. Did English in the morning. Handed out a lot of cards. Then lunch. Then weekly planning. Then to the church, lesson didn't show up. :( then visited people left notes saying we stopped by and did a bloc.

Saturday: Good day today. Met less active who was baptized 14 years ago. Sora Isacov. Health problems and what not. Troubles with her son. Then lunch and did some vilas. Then visited other less actives and stopped by Cristians and Pauls. Paul wasn't home but had a short lesson with Cristian (about 16 or so) really open and nice kid. Then finished the night with blocs.

Sunday: Good church meetings. It's sad to see people just leave right after Sacrament. Good testimony meeting. I was going to go but never did. Next month fo' sho' tho'! Sunday School was good and Priesthood. We need more Priesthood members at church!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then home for lunch. Then went over to our buddy 7th day adventist talker. Had lesson about the plan of salvation. We'll see if he actually comes to church like he says he will. Then blocs. Had two awesome lessons! Met really nice older lady. Fed us a prajitura and a younger woman and brother just a floor below her. 3 BOMS in that bloc. Hope something comes from it.

It was a good week. Some tough days thrown in there but it seems you remember the good rather than the bad. I love this work so much and hope people can see my example and life and how happy I am and want to change their life. I love the gospel so much. It has been a huge blessing in my life. I love my family so much. I can't believe I am nearly a 4th transfer missionary. I love Romania so much. Don't let anyone tell you different, it's a great country. We are all just at different stages in our country's development. I love the people here so much. Timisoara is a great city and has so much potential. I love you Dad and Mom. Thanks for everything. Siblings Shelby, Garrett, Sister Marissa, Grant, and Caleb, I love you all so much. Thank you for your example for me. Hope I am a good one for you too. And other family Josh, Aubrey, Kristi, Brodie, Elsie, Millie, Chase, and Taryn. I love you so much! It will be a good week. You make it what you want.

Love,

Elder Schroedter

GLUMESC!: "WORLD!!! HOW ARE YOU?! I hope only the best. Missionary work is very hard, but I admire it and love this work. How great is my calling! This week was amazing and beautiful. On the computer it's hard to write in romanian because I don't want to use all the simbols and etc. It was weird with my dad (trainer) to not be the senior companion. Usually, he led the conversation and lessons."
